Frequently Asked Questions

Pressure relief valves are safety devices that exist to prevent piping and vessels from exceeding their maximum allowable working pressure. The recertification of these valves is often a regulatory requirement.

A fully serviced valve will perform to the exact specification as a brand new valve.

A typical valve service includes the following. The scope may be customized upon request.

  1. Initial inspection
  2. Disassembly
  3. Cleaning
  4. Confirm internal dimensions
  5. Grinding and lapping of sealing surfaces (as required)
  6. Replacement of elastomers
  7. Bench testing
  8. Painting

Aside from servicing relief valves, we offer valve installation/removal services and record management (device cataloging and record-keeping) assistance with creating a servicing plan.

We operate out of a 26’ mobile rig. Please make sure there is room for us to park!

In general, we do not charge a mobilization cost. A nominal fee may apply for smaller jobs to cover the cost of mobilizing and demobilizing.
